Kirton Parish Church is having a Christmas Tree Festival this year!
After over 18 months of being unable to have any fundraising events in church due to the Covid pandemic preparations are now in full swing as members of the fundraising team get ready for the popular Christmas Tree Festival.
It is almost two years since we held our last Christmas Tree Festival and we have been busy contacting the local businesses and organisations who support us. We are very pleased to say that many of them will be displaying a tree again this year. There is no theme for the trees and we are looking forward to seeing all the different interpretations of a beautiful Christmas tree!
This is our tenth Christmas Tree Festival and this year we are trying something different, a preview evening. Tickets are only £5 and include a glass of wine and nibbles and it should be a fun evening. (Ring 01205 723529 for tickets)
The beautifully decorated Christmas trees will be in church for one weekend only this year as the festival runs from the preview evening on Friday 3rd December 7pm, through Saturday 4th from 11am - 4pm and finishes on Sunday afternoon 5th December at 4pm.There will be almost 30 beautifully decorated trees to see and on the Saturday and Sunday there will be card, gift and bric a brac stalls, a tombola and of course a grand Christmas raffle. For the children there is a chocolate lucky dip and cuddly toy tombola. We will of course be serving our usual homemade refreshments so do join us for a slice of cake and a cuppa!
